THE THREE PHASES OF COLLEGE FINANCIAL
PLANNING. Phase I: Planning
We will analyze your Expected Family Contribution (the minimum that the federal government expects you to pay out of your pocket) and implement every strategy that will enable you to legally and ethically reduce your EFC, maximize the amount of aid you are eligible for, and reduce your out-of-pocket expenses. We will discuss in detail and implement all the strategies available to your family, in the following areas:
The college planning check list details what we are doing for you, and when we are doing it, and provides confirmation on every step along the way, guaranteeing you don't miss a deadline or make any mistakes that could cost you time or money. Phase II: Documents
We will complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid for you, ensuring its accuracy. The FAFSA must be completed if you want to qualify for financial aid, including grants and scholarships. According to the U.S. Department of Education, the majority (90%) of the people fill out the FAFSA form in such a way that they do not receive all the aid money they are eligible for.
We will register for and complete the CSS Profile for you. This form calculates your EFC under the Institution Methodology. The CSS profile system uses a different formula to assess your family contribution, which is required at approximately 350 universities.
Some schools have their own forms that need to be completed in addition to the ones already mentioned. If you are divorced, own a farm, or your own business; we will complete those additional forms as well.
We know how to determine your EFC and verify the government figures, so you don't end up overpaying.
We will complete the subsidized and the unsubsidized student loan forms.
We will complete the PLUS loan forms. Phase III: Negotiations
We will compose a letter to the financial aid office on your behalf and negotiate with the schools to maximize your aid award.
We will provide you with the financial requirements that each target school needs, positioning you for fast acceptance. In addition, every financial form will be completed for you. We provide you with customer service support from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You can also send us an E-mail or leave a Voice Mail message
